This is to inform the public that the management of Auchi Poly has released another admission list[Regular programme] via the school admission notice board.

The admission list that was released is for candidate that didn't gain admission via their prospective department.

The List that came out is just for two school, School of art and design and school of environmental respectively..

You're are advised to visit the school notice board to check if your name is out.

(3) Proceed to the bursary Department for verification of payment.
(4) Bring the confirmed receipt to Management Information System(MIS) to effect the Change of Course.

Today, JAMB meets WAEC, NECO, to fix 2017 UTME Date

JAMB has now concluded plans to fix the dates for the 2017 UTME. This was made known today by The Head, Media and Information of the board, Dr Fabian Benjamin.
Members of the JAMB board have been scheduled to meet with board members of WAEC, NECO and NABTEB on Tuesday, 17th January, to find suitable dates for the 2017 UTME.

Remember that the new JAMB CBT no longer holds in one day, and may require up to 2 weeks to fully test all candidates, who apply for the exam. This meeting will therefore help avoid clashes in exam dates for other exam bodies, a problem experienced in previous exams.
According to Mr. Fabian, this is the final preparation required before the Sale of 2017 UTME Registration Forms can commence.
We therefore hope that another press briefing will be conducted just after the meeting on 17th January, to reveal the possible 2017 UTME Exam Dates, and when sale of registration forms will commence.

NYSC 2016 Batch B Stream II Orientation And Printing Of Call-Up Letter Announced

The NYSC Management wishes to inform prospective Corps members and other stakeholders that the 2016 Batch 'B' (Stream II) Orientation course will commence on Tuesday, 24th January, 2017.
The lineup of activities for the course is shown below:
a. Tue 24th - Wed 25th, Jan 2017- Registration/verification exercise
b. Thursday, 26th January, 2017 - Swearing-in ceremony
c. Monday, 13th February, 2017 - Closing ceremony

JAMB O' Level / UTME Subjects Requirements To Consider Before Choosing A Course

The 2017 UTME registration is expected to commence soon. Already, many candidates are eagerly waiting for the announcement. However, only a few have taken time to decide on the course of study to apply for.
In deciding a course of study, there are few things you should bear in mind;
First, you need to consider if you have interest or academic aptitude for the course you wish to apply for Another is, to verify if the course you intend to study is offered in the institution you are applying to. You are also to verify the accreditation status of that course in such institution.
Most importantly, you need to verify if you meet the O’level and UTME Subjects requirements for that particular course.
Each course of study has a specific O’level and UTME Subjects requirements you must meet before you are admitted to study that course. What works for an Engineering course won’t work for a medical course.
Many UTME Candidates often make the mistake of choosing a course that they do not meet the requirements for during UTME registration. Thereby disqualifying themselves of admission from the onset. No school can admit you to study a course you do not have the requirements for.
Even if your name appears on the admission list, you will be disqualified during the screening, verification or clearance process.
Like I mentioned earlier, the UTME registration for 2017 is yet to commence. If I were you, this is the time I would use to make the decision concerning which course of study to choose when the registration begins.

FG Plans To Establish An Aviation University - Minister

The Minister of State, Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, on Saturday, said plans were underway to establish Aviation University to promote research, development and production of higher level management manpower for the industry.
This was disclosed by the minister while speaking with newsmen after a familiarisation tour of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) in Zaria, Kaduna State.
He said: “The aviation university will be different from NCAT, the university will be fully into research and development and production of higher level management manpower need of the industry.
“The university will go into deep research, with the hope that in the near future, we will be able to manufacture aircraft components, until when we are able to produce the aircraft itself".
While sighting example of countries like Brazil and India, who produce aircraft, the minister observed that “if such countries could do it, why not Nigeria.
“The technology is known, we are not reinventing it, we just put our act together in doing it. So, the university will cater for that, while NCAT will continue to provide the services in the institute,” he stressed.

JAMB Candidates should Not Choose Unauthorized Courses In Specialized Varsities - FG

The Federal Government has warned specialized institutions in the country, which have been running programmes that are not in conformity with their mandates, to stop such with immediate effect.
In a statement on Sunday, the government directed that such universities should stick to their core mandates for which they were set up and desist from running programmes which have no bearing to their names and foundation.

It described as unfortunate a situation where universities of agriculture offered programmes in Law and management courses such as Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, among others, and most of these institution go as far as changing the nomenclature of the courses, a situation where they have now have Banking Engineering, Accounting Technology among others.
The statement by the spokesman for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, stated that the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, had directed JAMB “to delete all such courses on its portal.”
He added that all candidates desirous of sitting the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, the statement advised, “should not be hoodwinked into such programmes as they are illegal and are not provided for in JAMB brochure.
He described specialised universities as those set up to pursue specific courses and programmes to generate manpower in particular sectors of the economy.
He said, “Some of these specialised institutions include universities of agriculture, universities of technologies and universities of medicine, amongst others.
The Federal Government has observed that these institutions have derailed from their statutory responsibilities, thereby running programmes that are antithetical to their mandates.
The government notes the unfortunate situation where Universities of Agriculture offer programmes in Law, management courses such as Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, among others.
It described this as aberration which must stop with immediate effect.
