Female Corper Escapes Being Used for Money Rituals (Must See)
Last Wednesday, January 20, at Eteo, in Eleme area of Rivers State,
a said said he saw people gathered round a car. On getting close he
saw a Corper on handcuffs, and some men being questioned.
Here's the story of what happened as told by the Corper:
She boarded a taxi to her PPA, on reaching her destination she gave the
driver One thousand naira (N1000) only for the driver to accuse her of
paying with a counterfeit naira note. She denied it, but one of the
passenger then claimed to be a Police Officer concurred with the driver.
The man brought out handcuffs and cuffed the Corper, claiming they are
taking her to police station.
Luckily for her, a passerby saw what was happening and raised an alarm,
which prompted the youth of the area to come out.
After so much argument, the youths insisted on searching the driver, only
to find more counterfeit notes on him. The other passengers tried to
escape including the fake police officer, but were caught by the youth.
The female corper was rescued from them and the man were handed over
to police. They have confessed and are making useful statements to the
police about this new trick of using people for rituals.
We all should be careful, especially corpers who are new to the area they
are posted and are vulnerable.

How to Apply for a Personal Loan
Whether or not you qualify for a personal loan and what
interest rate you will be charged if approved for the loan
depends on your credit.
That's why checking your
credit score is the first step
you should take when
applying for a personal
loan. You can pay one of
the major bureaus to see
one of your credit scores,
or you can use a free tool
like the Credit Report Card,
which updates your credit
scores every month.
And if you haven't checked your credit reports recently,
you can request free copies of your credit reports from
the three major credit bureaus. Review the content of
your reports carefully and correct errors before shopping
for a loan.
Research Before You Apply
Every time you apply for a personal loan triggers an inquiry into your
credit and this nudges down your credit score a little bit. So be
selective about the loans that you apply for.
Ask lenders in advance about the minimum credit score that they
require for personal loans. Some lenders will even list this
information on their websites. Only apply for loans with credit
standards that you meet.
Start Local
A good place to begin your
search for a personal loan
is with your local bank or
credit union. Be sure to
research the credit criteria
required for personal
loans before you apply.
Check your bank or credit
union's website, or call
customer service. You may
even wish to make an
appointment with a loan
officer.
Some online lenders are options as well. You can find
loans on credit.com anytime.
What's in a Loan Application?
In addition to checking your credit score, a potential
lender will want to ascertain your annual income as well
as your debt-to-income ratio.
Other questions you are likely to find on a loan
application include: your monthly housing payment,
whether you rent or own your primary residence, your
employer and the years worked at your employer.
Being prepared with this information will speed up the
process of applying for a personal loan.

6 Tips for Writing an Effective Resume
Hiring managers and recruiters alike say
they've seen more poorly written resumes
cross their desks recently than ever before.
Attract more interview offers and ensure your
resume doesn't eliminate you from
consideration by following these six key tips:
1. Format Your Resume Wisely "Do the
Hiring Managers" Work for Them
No matter how well written, your resume
won't get a thorough reading the first time
through. Generally a resume gets scanned for
25 seconds. Scanning is more difficult if it is
hard to read, poorly organized or exceeds
two pages.
Use a logical format and wide margins,
clean type and clear headings
Selectively apply bold and italic typeface
that help guide the reader's eye
Use bullets to call attention to important
points (i.e. accomplishments)
2. Identify Accomplishments not Just Job
Descriptions
Hiring managers, especially in technical fields
like engineering, seek candidates that can
help them solve a problem or satisfy a need
within their company. Consequently, you
can't be a solution to their problems without
stating how you solved similar problems in
other companies and situations.
Focus on what you did in the job, NOT what
your job was there's a difference
Include a one or two top line job
description first, then list your
accomplishments
For each point ask yourself, What was the
benefit of having done what I did?
Accomplishments should be unique to you,
not just a list of what someone else did
Avoid using the generic descriptions of the
jobs you originally applied for or held
3. Quantify Your Accomplishments
Q: What's the most common resume mistake?
A: Making too many general claims and using
too much industry jargon that does not
market the candidate. A resume is a
marketing document designed to sell your
skills and strengths rather than just portray a
bio of the candidate.
Include and highlight specific achievements
that present a comprehensive picture of
your marketability
Quantify your achievements to ensure
greater confidence in the hiring manager
and thereby generate interest percentages,
dollars, number of employees, etc.
Work backwards to quantify your
accomplishments by asking, If I had not
done X, what could have happened?
4. Cater Your Resume for the Industry
Unlike advertising and design professionals
who have greater creative license in designing
their resume for those fields, the mechanical
engineering industry won't be impressed and
may be turned off by distinctive resume
design.
Err on the side of being conservative
stylistically
Your accomplishments, error-free writing,
grammatically-correct, clean, crisp type and
paper will make the impression for you
5. Replace your Objective" with a "Career
Summary"
A Career Summary is designed to give a brief
overview of who you are and what you do.
Most Objectives sound similar: Seeking a
challenging, interesting position in X where I
can use my skills of X, Y, and Z to contribute
to the bottom line. Not telling at all.
Grab a hiring manager's attention right from
the beginning, remembering you
have only 25 few seconds to make a good
impression
Spend time developing a summary that
immediately gets their attention, and
accurately and powerfully describes you as
a solution to their problems
6. Network. Network. Network.
For unemployed candidates, handing out
resumes should be a full-time job. The
majority of mid- to senior-level positions are
filled through networking, so contact
absolutely everyone you know in addition to
recruiters who are in a position to hire you or
share insights. Networking can include
Personal business contacts, people you've
worked for or who worked for you
Vendors and sales representatives you've
dealt with in the past five years
People listed in the alumni directory of your
alma mater
With a solid resume in hand you'll greatly
increase your odds of earning a closer look
and getting that interview.

Essay Hints: 7 Hints on Writing an Effective Essay
Essays can be crucial to admissions and scholarship
decisions.
Writing an essay often seems to be a dreaded task among
students. Whether the essay is for a scholarship, a class, or
maybe even a contest, many students often find the task
overwhelming. While an essay is a large project, there are
many steps a student can take that will help break down the
task into manageable parts. Following this process is the
easiest way to draft a successful essay, whatever its purpose
might be.
According to Kathy Livingston's Guide to Writing a Basic
Essay, there are seven steps to writing a successful essay:
1. Pick a topic.
You may have your topic assigned, or you may be given free
reign to write on the subject of your choice. If you are given
the topic, you should think about the type of paper that you
want to produce. Should it be a general overview of the
subject or a specific analysis? Narrow your focus if
necessary.
If you have not been assigned a topic, you have a little more
work to do. However, this opportunity also gives you the
advantage to choose a subject that is interesting or relevant
to you. First, define your purpose. Is your essay to inform or
persuade?
Once you have determined the purpose, you will need to do
some research on topics that you find intriguing. Think
about your life. What is it that interests you? Jot these
subjects down.
Finally, evaluate your options. If your goal is to educate,
choose a subject that you have already studied. If your goal
is to persuade, choose a subject that you are passionate
about. Whatever the mission of the essay, make sure that
you are interested in your topic.
2. Prepare an outline or diagram of your ideas.
In order to write a successful essay, you must organize your
thoughts. By taking what's already in your head and putting
it to paper, you are able to see connections and links
between ideas more clearly. This structure serves as a
foundation for your paper. Use either an outline or a
diagram to jot down your ideas and organize them.
To create a diagram, write your topic in the middle of your
page. Draw three to five lines branching off from this topic
and write down your main ideas at the ends of these lines.
Draw more lines off these main ideas and include any
thoughts you may have on these ideas.
If you prefer to create an outline, write your topic at the top
of the page. From there, begin to list your main ideas,
leaving space under each one. In this space, make sure to
list other smaller ideas that relate to each main idea. Doing
this will allow you to see connections and will help you to
write a more organized essay.
3. Write your thesis statement.
Now that you have chosen a topic and sorted your ideas into
relevant categories, you must create a thesis statement.
Your thesis statement tells the reader the point of your
essay. Look at your outline or diagram. What are the main
ideas?
Your thesis statement will have two parts. The first part
states the topic, and the second part states the point of the
essay. For instance, if you were writing about Bill Clinton
and his impact on the United States, an appropriate thesis
statement would be, "Bill Clinton has impacted the future of
our country through his two consecutive terms as United
States President."
Another example of a thesis statement is this one for the
"Winning Characteristics" Scholarship essay: "During my high
school career, I have exhibited several of the "Winning
Characteristics," including Communication Skills, Leadership
Skills and Organization Skills, through my involvement in
Student Government, National Honor Society, and a part-
time job at Macy's Department Store."
4. Write the body.
The body of your essay argues, explains or describes your
topic. Each main idea that you wrote in your diagram or
outline will become a separate section within the body of
your essay.
Each body paragraph will have the same basic structure.
Begin by writing one of your main ideas as the introductory
sentence. Next, write each of your supporting ideas in
sentence format, but leave three or four lines in between
each point to come back and give detailed examples to back
up your position. Fill in these spaces with relative
information that will help link smaller ideas together.
5. Write the introduction.
Now that you have developed your thesis and the overall
body of your essay, you must write an introduction. The
introduction should attract the reader's attention and show
the focus of your essay.
Begin with an attention grabber. You can use shocking
information, dialogue, a story, a quote, or a simple
summary of your topic. Whichever angle you choose, make
sure that it ties in with your thesis statement, which will be
included as the last sentence of your introduction.
6. Write the conclusion.
The conclusion brings closure of the topic and sums up your
overall ideas while providing a final perspective on your
topic. Your conclusion should consist of three to five strong
sentences. Simply review your main points and provide
reinforcement of your thesis.
7. Add the finishing touches.
After writing your conclusion, you might think that you have
completed your essay. Wrong. Before you consider this a
finished work, you must pay attention to all the small
details.
Check the order of your paragraphs. Your strongest points
should be the first and last paragraphs within the body, with
the others falling in the middle. Also, make sure that your
paragraph order makes sense. If your essay is describing a
process, such as how to make a great chocolate cake, make
sure that your paragraphs fall in the correct order.
Review the instructions for your essay, if applicable. Many
teachers and scholarship forms follow different formats, and
you must double check instructions to ensure that your
essay is in the desired format.
Finally, review what you have written. Reread your paper
and check to see if it makes sense. Make sure that sentence
flow is smooth and add phrases to help connect thoughts or
ideas. Check your essay for grammar and spelling mistakes.
Congratulations! You have just written a great essay

Must Read!! 6 Laws Broken By Jesus Christ In The Bible (VIDEO INSIDE)
In the Bible, Jesus broke some laws:
1. He first broke the law of biology by coming to this world through a
virgin. If you ask a doctor they will tell you it is impossible.
2. He broke the law of chemistry by turning water to wine.
3. He broke the law of physics by walking on sea.
4. He broke the law of economics by feeding
5,000 people with just 5
loafs and 2 fishes.
5. He also disagreed to mathematics which say 1+1+1 = 3 instead he said
1+1+1 is equal to 1 ( TheTrinity ).
6. He broke the law of nature, he died and came back alive.
And He shall break any law binding you down for a miraculous
turn-around for greatness.

Omg!! Pastor Adeboye Of RCCG Shocks Everyone As He Talks About His Impending Death (VIDEO INSIDE)
Millions of worshippers in attendance roared in disapproval as Pastor
Adeboye, hinted at his possible passing.
The annual Holy Ghost Congress of the Redeemed Christian Church of
God (RCCG) ended with cold biblical references by the General
Overseer, Pastor E.A Adeboye about death which left his audience in
cold shock.
The one-week programme ended on Saturday, with a three-in-one
service, comprising anointing, communion and impartation. '
Ministering on the transfer of anointing, Adeboye said he would not be
too young at 73 to go back to his creator. He would be 74 in March.
He was explaining why the transferred anointing is always more potent
than the index case, using Moses and Elijah as examples.
Using the scripture, Adeboye pointed that where Moses, who got his
anointing directly from God failed, Joshua, who got his fire from Moses,
excelled.
He also cited the case of Prophet Elijah who performed 7 miracles while
Elisha who got his anointing from Elijah when God was taking him
away, performed 14 miracles.
Adeboye equally explained that the beneficiaries got the transferred
anointing when their masters were about passing away.
He said he would anoint his wife and other very senior pastors who, in
turn, would anoint other pastors, from where the worshippers would
experience their own anointing fire.
After the explanation, he looked at the congregation and said:
"you may be wondering if I am about to go. Will it be too early for a 73-
year-old man to die? If I go now, who will say it is too early? "
At this point, the worshippers, who were at the beginning rejecting his
passing in a murmur, roared their disapproval loudly from all the four
corners of the new auditorium.
Smiling, Adeboye added, "I am not too young to die." Again, the crowd
screamed their disapproval.
He later calmed everyone down, saying:
"okay, it is not now (I'm not dying now)." To which the crowd roared a
thunderous "Amen."

Cristiano Ronaldo is Untransferable From Real Madrid- Zidane
As Zinedine Zidane prepares for his first game in charge of
Real Madrid against Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday, the
43-year-old has reiterated his support for Cristiano
Ronaldo's continued stay at the club, calling the 30-year-
old Portuguese the "soul" of the club.
This is coming after Manchester United's manager Louis
van Gaal said in November that he would like to see the
return of Ronaldo to the club.
"Cristiano is more than non-transferable," Zidane said. "He
is the soul of the team. He's going nowhere."
The Frenchman had also debunked rumours earlier in the
week that Wales international, Gareth Bale, would be
leaving Los Blancos, in a possible return to the Premier
League.
He described the Welshman as "fundamental" to the club,
saying "he is important for the squad and fundamental for
the team."
Recall that Ronaldo had moved to Real Madrid in 2009, in
a then world-record deal of £80 million, which was beaten
by the £85.3 million transfer of Bale in 2013.

5 Reasons Most Students Are Not Offered Admission Despite High Post-UTME Score
Most admission seekers are often times left confused trying
to get the reason they were not offered admission to the
institution of their choice despite having a very high UTME
score. At times, having a high Post-UTME is not a guarantee
for admission. The following are the reasons students may
not be offered admission despite having a high post-UTME
score;
1 Wrong UTME combination
This is one of the reasons a number of students lose
admission despite beating the post-UTME cut-off point. Even
at times, some students are being stripped of their
admission or moved to another department during the
process of first-year registration simply because of wrong
JAMB subject combination. For instance, a student seeking
admission to study mass communication would definitely
lose the admission if he or she did not take Literature-in-
English as part of the four subjects for the UTME exam.
Similarly, a student seeking admission to study Physics and
Electronics should definitely select Physics as part of his
UTME subject combination. Before any student fills his or
her JAMB form, he or she should painstakingly go through
the JAMB Brochure to know the right subject combination
for his or her course of study.
2. University's/Polytechnic's catchment area
Most federal universities, including some state universities,
still retain the policy of catchment area in selecting students
for admission. For instance, UNILAG catchment area
constitutes majorly South Western states. What this implies
is; prospective students from the South West have higher
chances of gaining admission. For example, a prospective
student from Osun state who scored 56, applying to study
sociology may be offered admission while another student
from Imo state who scored 60 may not be offered
admission. This is so because if the catchment cut-off point
for Osun is 56 while the general cut-off is 62, such a student
from Imo state has definitely lost the admission despite
having a higher score than his counterpart from the
catchment zone. In view of the above, admission seekers
should always be aware of a university's catchment area
and requirements before selecting any university.
3. University/Polytechnic policy
Despite the general catchment area policy, some
universities still have their individual policy they adopt as
yardstick in admitting students. Oftentimes, such policies
are not made public. It is therefore the duty of admission
seekers to find out specific admission policies of their
prospective universities from friends schooling in such
universities.
4. Low UTME score
Often times, I pity most Jambites who score within the
range of 180 and 210 because such scores limit their
chances of gaining admission in a situation where they have
to compete for the same admission slot with students who
score as high as 250 and above. And most universities still
compute both UTTME and post-UTME scores in calculating
the student's average score. Hence, having a low UTME
score can also hinder one's opportunity of gaining
admission. It is always advisable for students to try to score
250 and above in order to be on a safer side. As a matter of
fact, it is very necessary concerning the JAMB policy of
redirecting students with lower UTME scores to less-
competitive universities.
5. O'level result
I do advise admission seekers to pass ALL the necessary
subjects in their O'level exam(s) very well before going
ahead to take UTME exam. I have met with lots of students
who lost their admission because they did not have at least
credit pass in some important subjects in their O'level
result. Recently, I met with a student who lost his admission
to study medicine at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-
Iwoye (OOU) because he did not have at least a credit pass
in Mathematics in his O'level result. In fact, I felt very sorry
for him because gaining admission to study a competitive
course such as medicine is not easy.

600 CBT Centres Have Been Identified For 2016 UTME - JAMB Boss
The JAMB Boss, Professor Ojerinde has disclosed that about
600 Centres have been earmarked for the conduct of 2016
Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
He disclosed this while briefing the Minister of Education,
Malam Adamu Adamu, and Minister of State for Education,
Professor Anthony Anwukah on the activities and operations
of the board.
According to him, JAMB has improved its activities over the
years. One of these improvements is the speedy release of
result of the UTME which is now completely computerized.
He however said the discriminatory cut- off marks of 180 for
universities and 150 for Polytechnics and Colleges of
Education is worrisome as it beats the aim of the Unified

The Number Of Applicants For Polytechnics, COE Has Improved - JAMB
The Head, Media and Information of the Joint Admissions
and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Dr Fabian Benjamin, in a
statement yesterday said that the board has expanded the
carrying capacities of some of the higher institutions for
2016/2017 admission.
He equally stated that the enrollment for Colleges of
Education, Polytechnics and Monotechnics and Innovative
Enterprise Institutions has improved.
He reacted to the recent comments by the Vice Chancellor of
the University of Lagos, Prof. Rahmon Bello who said that
JAMB is responsible for admission challenges in higher
institutions and advocated that there should be separate
entrance examination for Universities, Polytechnics and
Colleges of Education.
According to Mr Fabian, what the VC failed to put into
consideration was the fact that it was due to the admission
challenges necessitated by the separate entrance
examinations for universities, polytechnics and colleges of
education that informed the decision for a Unified
Examination.
He stressed that when the board was conducting UME for
universities and MPCE for other institutions of higher
learning, one of the concerns of stakeholders was the
negligible number of candidates sitting for the MPCE. Where
you have over a million candidates applying for UME, and
less than 200,000 applying for MPCE.
He noted that going back to separate examinations would
only worsen the situation and further place heavy financial
burdens on the candidates, as they would want to sit for all
the examinations to achieve the same result that the unified
examination was currently giving them.
He attributed the preference for Universities over
polytechnics and COE to the issue of Bsc/HND Dichotomy
and called on the government to resolve the issue.

the National Youth Service Programme has come to stay
despite calls from some quarters to scrap it.
He made this known during the inspection of the Lagos State
Orientation Camp.
According to him, the advantages of NYSC far outweighs the
disadvantages as it has nit only enhanced the socio-cultural
and ethnic integration in the country but had also promoted
national unity.
He reiterated the commitment of the Federal government
towards training interested graduates in skill acquisition
after their one year service to the nation. He stated that
graduates will be given a start-up capital at the end of the
training.
In his words, "Apart from the basic orientation programme,
the NYSC scheme should also move into including
professional and enterprising programmes to support and
motivate those who would not want to embrace public
services in the country.
"After the mandatory one-year service, the Federal
Government is planning an extension, to professionally train
interested corps members in skill acquisition, enterprising
and professional programmes.
"Corps members with keen interest would be retained and
some financial token given to them as start-up capital in
furtherance of their skill. This is because due to our
research, we find out that people abandon school due to
uncertainty of the future. Hence, we believe this would help
reduce the unemployed graduate ratio and curtail pressure
on white-collar job as a means to win the war against
poverty."
